Families of FANA Teen Group Events

FANA teen events are a great chance for the kids to connect and parents to reconnect. Now more than ever, as kids age into high school, they need confidence and support — no matter where they are from.

Our teens also continue to join one another through the activities offered by our board, including “The Road to College” series, as well as attending sports events throughout the year.

Teens also have had the opportunity to meet with Adriana Chaves, FANA’s psychologist for three years now during the FANA week leading up to the annual charity golf tournament in July. This has been an incredible bonding experience for the kids. Each year that the kids are able to get together, the bonds grow stronger and the experience becomes more valuable.

The summer picnic is a time to celebrate, share, and learn–together. “Buddy-families” assist new members with the adoption process and help new families find their way in our organization. We provide a balance of social and educational activities for our members and their children, including a week-long Colombian Culture Week (aka Spanish Camp). Each summer we host a family picnic, attended by well-over 500 friends and family. In the fall, the children have a chance to wear their favorite costumes at our Halloween party. Several other informal gatherings are held throughout the year.
