FANA teen events are a great chance for the kids to connect and parents to reconnect. Now more than ever, as kids age into highschool, they need confidence and support — no matter where they are from.

Families of FANA has evolved over the years to also offer family support through education regarding parenting our children. For the past few years, we have renewed old topics and learned so much from Elena Martinez and Adriana Chaves  (of FANA) – talking to your kids about adoption.

Teens also have had the opportunity to meet with Adriana Chaves, FANA’s psychologist for three years now during the FANA week leading up to the annual charity golf tournament in July. This has been an incredible bonding experience for the kids. Each year that the kids are able to get together, the bonds grow stronger and the experience becomes more valuable.

Our teens also continue to join one another through the activities offered by our board, including “The Road to College” series, as well as attending sports events throughout the year.

For teens and their families who are considering visiting FANA in Bogota, please visit our FAQ page for more information regarding your expectations and what to expect, planning your trip, as well as questions and answers about birth parent searches.
